········· THE INFOanipan is a new art community in the works which puts the focus on displaying your art beautifully, easily, and safely. But it needs your help. Currently, anipan is running a campaign on Indiegogo (similar to Kickstarter) and there are only 2 days left to help anipan reach its goal. It might seem we’re a long ways away from our target, but with your help (either by pledging or spreading the word) we can do this!
a few things anipan will do:
• make it easier to share your work to multiple sites in a single click (to Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook & deviantART)
• reduce art-theft of high-resolution works thanks to a special algorithm
• instant messaging & collaborative drawing (think paintchat!)

Miku I drew for a small panel at a tiny con called Dejacon! I was holding a panel to help teach the basics of coloring in SAI. It was an interesting experience! (And one that happened like 5 months ago OTL )
I recolored it recently because I stopped liking how I did it originally (that’s how it tends to go with me…). I’m kinda happy with how this one turned out, so I might make some merch with it in the near future =)
The glowing firefly squid of Toyama, Japan. The firefly squid(Watasenia scintillans) is a member of the cephalopod family and gets its name from the flashing lights that resemble those of a firefly. This squid is famous for the incredible light show that occurs each year off the coast of Japan as millions of these tiny animals gather to spawn.

It's a thing that I might tumble occasionally: A call for participation: Project - Under the Same Sky
So this is about a month late, but it’s an idea that I’ve been tossing around in my head for a while. From all around the world, what I had in mind was that next Thursday (3/29/2012) everyone takes a photo of the sky and upload it to Twitter, Tumblr, or whatever. It can be any photo of the sky that you can take: the warm spring sunset, the glow of the morning, the towering thunderclouds of a storm, or maybe the calm blue sky of a perfectly clear day. It can be taken with anything: from a super fancy camera to the cameraphones we have in our pockets.
We may be so far apart, but I hope that these shared experiences can help bring us together. I wish to invite everyone to participate in this event.
This is also a dream that I’ve had for a long time. If anyone else might be interested, or is inspired by this idea, please participate and pass it along. =)

It’s one of those project ideas that takes a lot of time but pays off in the end.
